Physics in action

I was thinking on how to show that physics can be entertaining, fun, practical. And I found a great example, gravity, momentum, parabolic launch. Enjoy:



And please don't pay attention to the fact that this is a fake proven by mithbusters, it takes off all the motivation for kids to learn physics hehe

  2. You just need the right coefficient of drag and know the launch angle and you could do it... The stuff Clark Griswold sprayed on the bottom of his sled would work well in this situation...

  5. It's possible to calculate where to place the pool, but you'd need to know the exact direction and strength of the wind, not to mention the momement of the dude while he's on the slide and in mid-air.
